the magic in driving drunk

Driving drunk is like a magic act. If you do it things will disapear. If your lucky it will just be your licence and your freedom. If not it will be a persons life. So let the MAGIC of responibility work by not driving drunk and save a life. by jack barron

the child in all of us

I often wish that just once in awhile i could view the world with the wonderment of a child as i once did. When reality was what your imagination perceived it to be. when thoughts of war were just a matter of who was going to be the cowboy and who the indian. When the greatest world tradgedy on your mind that night when you went to bed was that your mom made you eat broccoli. When any talk of saving the planet came from the captain of a starship. When watching your dad pull that metal dipstick out of that massive engine in the family car and declaring,"it looks ok" was nothing short of proof that he was the most briliant man on earth. When laying out in the backyard on a summer evening looking up at the sheets your mom hung out to dry waving slightly in the breeze was in fact the giant sails that were moving your ship to unknown waters. When your 2 best friends felt exactly the way you did about life. When going to a movie wasn't because that was all there was to do, but because it was a great adventure you looked forward to. When you sat and stared for hours at an ant hill because in your eyes you were witnessing this vastly intelligent culture accomplishing great feats of strength, wisdom, and hard work. When you managed to find yourself 2 blocks from home and mrs. brown was standing in her doorway and asking you if your mother knew where you were. When you really did want to be a fireman. When you came home from school one friday and your mom says your all going camping this weekend. But you knew that what that really meant was your going to the forest where the trolls and wizzards live and at best you would probably be eatin by bears. But that was ok cause your best friend Bobby gets to go too and you will have someone to get eatin with. Most of all when you looked in the mirror you saw someone who lives in a near perfect world, and can accomplish anything, and is going to live forever-in spite of the broccoli. But we can't see the world through those eyes any more. but we most certainly can try to remember. BY Jack Barron http://grub4themind.blogspot.com

parentsndenial

just a quick comment on a news story this morning,i wont dwell on it,a girl and 3 supposedly male friends were in a car.the girl was supposed to be going home but was joy riding, the driver tried to beat a train by swerving around anouther car waiting and the dropped barrier bar and didnt make it, all were killed.the girl was 14, the boys were 17, 19, and 21,not one word mentioned by writer of article or anyone else about."what the hell is a 14 year old girl doing getting in the car with 3 ADULT males ? parents get a clue here, start caring and raising your children and stop letting them raise them selves, and yes ive been guilty also, common sence folks! my heart goes out to the families.

i just read anouther newspaper article about a young girl getting suduced on the internet, the guy shows up to meet her, they mess around,he leaves, she rats on him,he goes to jail.i think i read 4 of these in the last week, now i am for these guys having everything that protrudes from their bodies cut the f#@* off,no mercy what so ever.but here is what just gripes the shit out of me, the girl was 13 years old, claiming on the internet that she was 16,this is common, when the hell is law enforcement, along with parents going to start openly condeming these girls for their part in this whole situation? i don't care what anyone says there is blame there and its time we start making this a publisized fact.for crying out loud the girl wanted it to happen,it did happen, and she is thought of as the 100% victem. i call bull shit,on this one.i wonder if anyone sees my point, probably not enough.common sence folks !!!!!
